If you don’t want anyone to come up to you and say, “Hey, the ‘80s called, they want their [fill in the blank] back,” toss your neon fashion, crazy prints and micro-minis in the trash. The showing-too-much-skin look is out!
Jene Luciani, a New York-based fashion and lifestyle journalist, is pleading for an ‘80s overhaul. “Last year, we saw a flash of neon on the runways that was evident of a re-emergence of punk. Thankfully, colors have richened,” she points out. Instead, you’ll see more expensive looking jewel tones this fall.
“Get rid of crazy prints and opt for flower power,” Luciani adds. “Designers like Michael Kors showed florals for fall and winter, giving us spring fever—in a good way.”
