If there were ever a time to change your nail polish from ballet slipper to burgundy,
it's now. Fall trends not only include luxe fabrics (including fur) and tweeds
The good news: You can share in all this glamour without purchasing a single item of clothing. Simply change your nail polish. "There is nothing like a well-manicured hand with rich, deep color," says Essie. "It makes a fashion statement, even if you don't go out and buy a new wardrobe."
Colors this season are so indulgent, she adds, that she named her fall collection after candies, including dark chocolate truffle, pecan, bitter chocolate, toffee and raspberry cream.
"These as well as other luscious, rich and deep shades are particularly complimentary to browns and the subtle, bright yarns in tweeds," Essie says. "The tweeds on the runway were exciting, and I loved all the browns. Brown is the new basic for fall. It's replacing the black of yesteryear."
