She has an innate coolness and verve, but what makes Madonna so intriguing is her chameleonlike ability to transform herself, which, through the great media machine, we've so closely witnessed. It's as if we know her personally. And what fun knowing her continues to be! Seen here at a party for her children's book, Lotsa de Casha (FYI: She donates all proceeds to the Spirituality for Kids Foundation), Madonna looks lotsa de lovely in gently rouged cheeks, femininely pale brows and a most demure rose-coral mouth. Here's how to replicate the look as explained to us by makeup artist Deborah Grayson.
Step 1: Neaten up eyebrows by brushing them upward with a firm-bristled brow brush, then, using soft strokes, sketch in any sparse places with a sharpened ash-blonde pencil liner.
Step 2: Using your fingers, place an ecru-beige cream eye shadow across the entire lid, then dab a bit under the arch of the brow.
Step 3: With a rounded fluff shadow brush, place a smoky heather shadow across and into the crease of the eyelids. Diffuse the color by repeatedly blending back and forth, until you have just a soft, hazy wash of color.
